The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising – The Virtuous Circle of Engagement: using engagement scoring to maximise member value
The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) uses engagement scoring technology to turn data into actionable insights that enable us to deliver our 360°-member engagement strategy. The objective of this strategy is to tangibly demonstrate the value of IPA membership to both existing and prospective members, driving proactive recruitment and retention, and creating advocates of our 220+ member organisations.
The use of engagement scoring allows us to capture data on every interaction our members have with us, assigning a numerical score that clearly demonstrates how engaged our members are. Our CRM is a single source of truth, ensuring that all relevant teams across the IPA have full visibility of every stage of our members’ experiences, allowing us to segment our members and personalise their experiences, and enabling us to proactively manage relationships and take early action at the first sign of decreased engagement.
