Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals – Professional in Payroll, Pensions & Reward

The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) is the Chartered Institute for payroll, pensions, and rewards professionals in the UK and is dedicated to raising the profile of payroll in business across the UK and internationally.

The CIPP has been fundamental in supporting not only members, but the entire payroll community in understanding, communicating, and implementing the CJRS and its revisions at incredible speed. The CIPP has been integral in supporting the economy and keeping the UK paid.

Much of this support and information has been communicated to members via our Professional magazine. The magazine was launched in October 1994 and is a key membership benefit of the CIPP It is currently circulated to 5,500 members and is produced 10 times per year, providing news, updates and in-depth articles on issues relevant to the payroll, pensions and reward industry.

Affiliate members receive the magazine online, whilst associate members and above receive a printed copy, whilst also being able to view the magazine online. The online magazine also includes bonus online content, not available in the printed version.

During our recent annual market insight survey, 95% of respondents stated the content in Professional magazine was relevant to their role.

Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy – Public Finance

Public Finance is the journal of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) – the only professional accountancy body in the world to specialise in public services. As such, it plays a vital role helping government finance professionals and leaders stay abreast of the latest trends and developments affecting their rôle. The magazine has existed for more than 100 years, building a prominent profile and authoritative reputation among policymakers, officials and the wider public finance sector Informing and guiding the leaders in charge of the country’s public sector budgets, it plays an influential role, shaping the direction of government spending. It offers its audience guidance on ethics, best practice, big-picture thinking, case studies, as well as in-depth analysis of current issues. During 2020 the magazine underwent a complete overhaul, as part of a comprehensive review of the Institute’s entire ecosystem of member communications channels. Reader research had revealed that the audience want their member magazine to deliver more high-level, ‘big-picture’ content giving them a deep understanding of the major issues affecting their industry – while receiving breaking news and daily updates through CIPFA’s web channels and newsletters.

International Institute of Risk and Safety Management – The Sentinel

The Sentinel stands out because it is led by members of the Institute and the majority of its content is generated by the members and industry experts, not sponsors, leadership teams or advertisers. This is something the Institute is exceptionally proud of.

The positivity with which it has been received is testament to the quality of the journalism, buy-in and involvement from our members and acting upon feedback received. Everyone involved is extremely proud of what The Sentinel has achieved so far and confident that it will continue to innovate and help our members to excel.

National Association of Funeral Directors – Funeral Director Monthly

Funeral Director Monthly is the membership magazine of the National Association of Funeral Directors.

From a paper pamphlet in 1905 to a professional, glossy business magazine in 2021, FDM is read by not only NAFD funeral firm member and business owners, but also by suppliers to the profession, students of the NAFD’s qualifications programme, MPs with an interest in bereavement issues, journalists, tutors training within the profession, humanist celebrants, the clergy, cemeteries, crematoria, manufacturers and distributors.
FDM seeks to find a balance between acting as a membership journal for NAFD members with delivering news and feature content that makes it an interesting read and enables it to compete with commercial publications in the sector.

Read by 98% of members, with 92% saying the find it valuable, FDM is designed to engage and inform not only funeral business owners and employees, but also to provide a trusted reference point for a wider stakeholder audience, helping to shape discussions about death and position the funeral sector in a positive and progressive light at a time when the profession is at the forefront of the response to global COVID-19 pandemic and remains under intense media and regulatory scrutiny.

National Hair & Beauty Federation – Salon Focus

Salonfocus is the ‘go-to’ quarterly magazine distributed to the NHBF’s 6500+ Members via direct mail, it is also uploaded to our website as an e-mag. Salonfocus’ mission is to support, guide and advise NHBF Members so they can survive and thrive to reach their full potential. The insightful features are combined with experts’ top tips, engaging interviews, relevant resources and informative infographics. We also include advertising opportunities with full page adverts and sponsored advertorials.

Society for Education and Training – inTuition

In such challenging times for professionals working in the post-16 education community, the support provided by the Society for Education and Training (SET) has been vital. Not just in fulfilling our members’ rational needs – keeping them up to date with the latest information, advice and guidance. But also through empathetic communication that resonates on an emotional level. Inspiring, motivating and promoting a sense of pride in the role members play as the agents of change for young peoples’ lives.

For educators in the COVID-19 world, the reimagining of SET’s quarterly member journal inTuition could not have been more timely. The past 12 months have seen the publication undergo a complete transformation in terms of both its content strategy and look and feel. It’s more modern, more relevant and its engagement level is exceptional.
